HAPPY PANCAKE DAY ONE AND ALL!! 

So I decided to do something a little different today, even though this blog is primarily beauty and fashion, I thought it might be a nice idea if we all got to know each other a little more and what better way to do it than settling down with pancakes and answering a few questions?! The Get To Know Me tag as I am new to most people (unless you follow sassylassy16up.com) and as my good friend Jess did a tag on this, I thought I would steal her idea! ;) Also brownie points to anyone who can name the kids film I got the title of this post from-- hint: it's set in Siam! 

1. Were you named after anyone? 

Um, sort of unintentionally. I have 4 other siblings and it turns out we're all named after Saints. But actually my mum just really liked those names. My full name is in fact Catherine. 

2.When was the last time you cried? 

A few weeks ago when my recently repaired laptop launched into the Start Up Repair thing. I'd just had the hard drive replaced, had my back up netbook die on me twice and I guess panic set in and caused a delightful anxiety attack. Fun times.  

3.Do you like your handwriting? 

My handwriting changes depending on what I'm writing. For the most part it's relatively neat and I do a fancy thing with my capital A and H but when I'm drafting stuff I could pass for a Doctor based purely on its illegibility!!  

4.What is your favorite lunch meat? 

I'm actually pescatarian as of January so I don't eat meat anymore... I suspect this will possibly only last until my resolves melts away next Christmas but for now, I adore fish and Tuna and salad cream sandwiches are my favourite! 

5.Do you have kids? 

Haha! NO! I have far too many siblings, nieces and nephews for me to want youngsters of my own right now! The best part about it is I can give those kids back at the end of the day! But maybe in my 30s... 

6.If you were another person would you be friends with you? 

Probably. I like quirky people who stick 2 fingers up to the trends of life. I was considered the cool of the uncool during my school years and I love hanging out with people who march to their own beat!

7.Do you use sarcasm a lot? 

Noooooooo. I would never be sarcastic. I have been told I am a master of sarcasm, to the point where people genuinely can't tell whether I'm serious or not! =D

8.Do you still have your tonsils? 

Aha in a sense. Not one to be normal or anything but I have had so many throat infections that when I was sent for a "tonsil evaluation" it was discovered that I don't actually have any tonsils left... It's just all scar tissue these days. 

9.Would you bungee jump? 

I wish! I would love to but I have this incredible fear of heights I can fall off. Sad but true... Maybe I'll find the strength some day.

10.What is your favorite cereal? 

Jordan's Country Crisp is the NUTS. Sadly they come in teeny boxes for a rather large price so I tend to sway for the supermarket's own brand.

11.Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? 

NO! I'm a total lazy slob!

12.Do you think you're strong? 

After some of the shit life has thrown my way, I'd like to think so. They say life only throws at you what you can handle and if that's the case then I have some incredible hulk powers going on!

13.What is your favorite ice-cream? 

Pistachio... Which is rarely sold in the UK (sob.) but otherwise I adore peach and mango. Frankly, frozen yoghurt is fast becoming a favourite too.

14.What is the first thing you notice about people? 

Their smile. If someone is smiling then they are usually more approachable. But you can also see when it's a sleezy creepy smile too! :P

15. Red or pink? 

Honestly? I'm not a girly girl but I'd say PINK!

16.What is the least favorite thing about yourself? 

My pessimism. I use it to criticise life, my figure, my achievements etc. It's not something I like about myself...

17.What do you miss the most right now? 

ENGLAND!!! I'm living in Lyon until June 2014 and it has been hell. I miss my family, my friends and all my home comforts. 

18.What is the Paul McKenna technique you need to work on the most? 

Sleep. I suffer from insomnia so it's easy to upset my body clock. And the french won't give me any sleeping medication.

19. Any tattoos? 

Not yet but I'm hoping to get a beautiful paisley swallow soon.

20. What color shoes are you wearing? 

Orange and white stripy flip flops... Are you guys really surprised?

21. What is the last thing you ate? 

PANCAKES!! What it is pancake day in the UK is it not? I had mine with blueberry sauce!

22. What are you listening to right now? 

A mixture of Bob Marley, Otis Redding and Ub40... But the current song is "Sitting on the dock of the bay"

23. If you were a crayon,what color would you be? 

I'd say baby blue... It's one of my favourite colours... Actually any blue works for me. But not royal blue. That's my mums colour!

24. Favorite smell? 

Fresh laundry. I take great pleasure in walking past my university laundry rooms! 

25 .Who was the last person you talked to on the phone? 

I don't usually use my phone in France so I'm gonna say my mum? I can't remember tbh, it's been a few weeks. 

26. Mountain hideaway or beach house? 

Silly silly question. I used to really want a mountain hideaway but since I was around 18, the beach has been calling my name! 

27. Favorite sport to watch? 

Snooker. Most people are totally confused by that. I've loved snooker since I was a kid!

28.Hair color? 

Auburn!

29.Eyes color? 

Very blue. I get told I have amazing eyes a lot. I think they are just average but I'm told they are "very blue". 

30.Do you wear contacts? 

I have 20/20 vision!

31.Favorite food? 

Roast dinners.... Hence the pescatarian dilemma.

32.Scary movies or happy ending? 

Happy endings always!

33.Last movie you watched? 

Gidget. Is that sad? Probably.

34.What color shirt are you wearing? 

Orange

35. Summer or winter? 

In the summer time when the weather is fine.... ;)

36.Hugs or kissing? 

Hmm I would say I'm a kisser but I'm single so hugger is probably more apt right now.  

37.Favorite dessert? 

Fruit salad, made with kiwis, mangoes, pineapple and strawberries. I'm so digging my exotic fruits right now!

38.Strength training or cardio? 

Both? Don't most people normally do both as part of a training program?! I am a runner though...

39.Computer or television? 

Computer... Where I spend most of my time blogging and reading the blogs of others! ;)

40.What book are you reading right now? 

I am reading Trust Your Eyes by Linwood Barclay. I do love me a murder mystery or two! 

41.What is your mouse pad? 

The one attached to my laptop? It's black if that helps...

42.Favorite sound? 

The sea.

43.Rolling Stones or Beatles? 

The Rolling Stones for sure!! My 8 year old brother loves them and got me listening to them more and more before he stole my Guns'n'Roses CD... Urgh siblings! 

44.What is the farthest you been from home? 
America maybe? I have also been to Turkey.

45.Do you have a special talent? 
I see peoples colours. I've been told it's a gift but when I get to know people a colour springs to mind. I don't see it floating around a person but the colour jumps out at me. My mum is royal blue, my little sister is orange etc etc. 

46.Where were you born? 
Essex, England.

47.Where are you living now? 
Lyon, France. Until June and then I can come back to civilisation. 

48.What color is your house? 
Erm, it's kind of beige made out of some kind of pebbledash stuff.

49.What color is your car? 
I don't have a car but my family own a White Volvo V40 Cross Country... Or they will when we get the replacement after the 6 week old one we did have, was cut open after someone crashed into it. 

50.Do you like answering 50 questions? 
It was certainly something different for me to do and I'd probably do something similar again! =)
