BEAUTY: SEE HER HEAVY MAKE UP AND CUT T SHIRT, EVERY GIRL OUT WANTS TO BE HER

KIKO INFINITY: FROM BEACH TO BAR!

Top of the morning to you!! How is everyone doing? When styling up some Boho chic, day time make up and night time make up can be very different. Whether I'm trekking to uni or hitting the beach I like to keep my make up simple during the day but when I'm out with friends or headed to the bar I like to add some sparkle!

So to soundtrack this pretty awesome post I've included one of my all time favourite spring/summer songs for you to play as you read.

I went on a little spree today in Lyon's Part-Dieu shopping center in search of some goodies! I wanted some new eye shadow as the few pots I bought with me to France are fairly limited and stumbled into Italian cosmetics store KIKO.

I originally bought myself the gold, shade 257, pictured above. I find it absolutely amazing in colour and didn't need to layer it up at all to get the coverage on my eyelid. I love wearing this colour during the day as it warms up my skin tone and brings out the blue of my eyes (always a win). It's simple, easy and looks amazeballs.

So I'm just gonna add in some pictures of what the eye shadow actually looks like on a fresh face of tinted moisturiser....

If I'm using this make up on the beach, I will pair it will a tinted moisturiser and a light coat of MACs Splashproof Lash mascara, as shown above. It's water proof (and fool proof) enough to wear to the beach. It doesn't take much thought and after a few dips in the salty ocean, it's fast for reapplication.

However, I usually just wear this look on a day to day basis with a bit of added glow from my 17 Instant Glow bronzing beads. If I'm not going for a swim then the eye shadow lasts all day: no fade, no smudge, no fuss!

Given the rubbish lighting in my French digs, you can't actually see the eye shadow...
But I am fresh in from the beach... okay shower!

However I am the kinda girl who likes to look great with minimal effort, so for a night out I usually just like to update my make up rather than starting from scratch! Queue a little concealer and some more tinted moisturiser, mix in some pressed powder and a swipe or two of bronzing beads and my base is set.

This is where my new bad boy comes into play. Whilst in KIKO today, I found this amazing charcoal eye shadow. What I love is that it has a sparkle all of it own and doesn't come out too dark, meaning you can layer it up as you please for a variety of different smokiness levels.

This particular shadow is in the shade 294. As you can see it has silver glittery bits to add some extra glamour. I decided to layer up on this shade with the gold using my new eye contouring brush (also from KIKO) to create ombré tones from gold to black.

Soft lighting...

... White lighting.
I don't like to go too dark when doing smoky eyes unless I am going to a gig or a club as I find it over powers the over all tone of Bohemian Chic. I kept it fairly casual glamour for this look and it's a look I would wear to a bar or dinner with friends.

If I did want to make this more club appropriate all I have to do it use my Bourjois Smoky effect eye liner to line my lashes, before using the brush at the end of the pencil to blend in for a darker tone.

KIKO Infinity eyeshadows retail in Europe at 4.90€ and £5.90 in the UK.

Throw on your outfit and add some accessories and you have easy on the go, no fuss day to night, beach to bar, make up!!

Harsh white lighting again..

I bought my little sister a rose pink and sparkly lilac eye shadow from KIKO for Christmas this year and she loves them! Have you got any KIKO products? Which are your favourites? If you like the post or have any questions, leave me a comment below!

Peace xoxo
