BEAUTY: OH MY LOVE I SWEAR YOU'RE PERFECT, YES I PROMISE YOU'RE PERFECT FOR ME

MY ESSENTIAL BEAUTY BASICS

Having to live out of a suitcase for a year (yes, just the 1 suitcase!) means I have to limit what I pack. This means limited make up and beauty products so allow me to show you round my essential beauty basics!

The MUST haves of beauty basics!

As you can see, I have a lot of Nivea products, none of which have been sent to me as PR. I just really love Nivea products!
I also love more natural products and anything that smells great!

NIVEA Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Cream

I have tried hundreds of moisturisers as I have had problematically dry skin since I was a small child and this is by far my favourite. I've tried expensive "does-the-washing-up-too" style creams, I tried E45 (with horrendous results thanks to an allergic reaction) and in the end got prescribed Aqueous cream by my doctor. But for the past 10 years my mum always has a tub of this Nivea cream handy and I always seem to be sneaking some whenever I can!
A 200ml tub of Nivea Soft retails for around £6.00 from places like Tesco and Boots.

NIVEA Day Cream for Dry and Sensitive Skin

As you can see this tube is well used and loved. Sadly I'm nearly out and won't buy anymore until I get back to the UK but without is, my skin would be gasping for moisture! I put this cream on around 30 minutes before I apply my make up, leaving my skin smooth and soft all day long.
This Nivea product retails for around £3.00 from drugstores like Boots and Superdrug or in larger stores like Tesco, ASDA and Sainsbury's.

St Ives Apricot Face Scrub (Travel Size)

I actually have a large version of this little gem and it lasts forever! I've had this 30ml bottle all year and there's still a little left. With my skin being the way it is, I have to get rid of any flaky dry patches of skin. So I use a blob of this once a week to exfoliate away all the dry patches.
A tube of 150ml of St Ives face scrub retails for between £4 to £5 in the UK.

NIVEA SOS Lip Balm

Oh shocker! Another Nivea product!

This is actually a really really old tube of SOS lip balm, but it still works an absolute treat! Like my skin, my lips are often dry and in the winter they literally peel... So I can slick on some SOS balm and an hour later my lips are moisturised and much less sore. Then with regular use, I can exfoliate off the loose skin and have smooth lips ready for some colour!
You can still buy this product which is now called, Nivea SOS Lip Repair, which retails for around £3.00 in the UK.

Melvita Three Honeys Nectar

I love this pot of deliciousness. I put this on my lips at night and on my elbows (which get super dry) to hydrate my skin more deeply. It's basically a deep conditioning balm for lips and dry areas of skin.
You can buy this online or in store from Melvita for £9.00.

NIVEA Stress Protect Deodorant

... I know you're just dying to slap me with a Nivea gift card right now and I really wouldn't object! But really I'm allergic to many things and Nivea is one of the brands whose products seem to just work with my skin! This deodorant is no exception. I struggle to find good deodorant in this day and age that doesn't give me some form of allergic reaction and this is by far the best. Unfortunately here in France it costs around the same as a kidney on the black market at almost 6 euros per bottle.
Thankfully in the UK it retails for around £2.50 (although you can grab it for £2.17 in Boots right now!).

Impulse Body Spray-- Sweet Smile

I have to admit I struggled with this one. The new Impulse range is absolutely gorgeous and I had a hard time deciding which spray I wanted! But in the end I settled for this light, floral but fruity number and I take it everywhere with me for bursts of scented goodness.
This spray retails for around £1.99 in places like Boots and Tesco, so you can afford to smell and feel great!

Luckily for you guys, I'm out of my essential basics for now but I can promise you I have another Nivea product to review for you guys! So what are your essential beauty basics that you simply cannot live without? Leave me a comment below!

Peace xoxo
