PERSONAL: TALE AS OLD AS TIME, SONG AS OLD AS RHYME

CHANGING MY HAIR COLOUR...

I get bored very easily with my hair and if any of you babes have been following from the beginning of the Sassylassy16up days, you'll know I've had several different hair colours! But this is one I have never had before and apparently, everyone has something to say about it..........

This doesn't even include the blue dip dye or the Pokémon hair........

Here in Lyon I am faced with the dilemma of all the local supermarkets not selling my brand and shade of gorgeous auburn hair dye (Oh the perils of not being a natural red head!) so I have basically 2 options: Go luminous orange with Shwarzkopf or go a strange shade of browny-gingery-red. Or beg my mum to send me some Nice'n'Easy!! Alas, with just 28 or so days left in this country it would have taken longer to send me dye than it would for me to just buy it when I get back.... So why didn't I just leave it? Um... My hair grows at an unnaturally fast rate-- I dyed it last on the 5th February for my brothers wedding and a mere 2 months later and my roots were about 3 inches long. It's a blessing and a curse!

With this dilemma in mind, I headed to the stores for a nice light brown shade that I could pop over the copper until I could raid Tesco back in the UK. I was delighted when I found a Garnier Nutrisse shade that was light, and perfect for what I wanted and rushed home to apply it.
An hour later and my hair was done!! It did however, turn out around 3 or 4 shades darker than I actually expected it to...............

But I actually really like it! I've never had my hair this dark and had it look nice before! There was an incident when I was 17 when I went to dye my Ariel hair brown and it came out black which looked absolutely horrendous (really, the Russian spy look does not suit me) given that I had super pale skin!

I was actually out at the shops yesterday and some old man in his tweed jacket and trilby came up to me and told me I looked like what Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) would look like in modern times!! He was so sweet and lovely! See, flattery and compliments will get you everywhere! =P

So basically I now have this really awesome deep chestnut hair with a wicked copper shine in the light! I wasn't sure at first but now I really love it and will probably keep it around for a while! Knowing my luck though, they won't sell this shade of hair dye back in the UK!! Fingers crossed they do!

Just a little morning love for all my followers!! Today is feeling like it’s going to be a good day………. ^_^

So here is some happy Cate love! May your hair ventures be as successful as mine!! Have you had lots of hair colours? Which of mine has been your favourite? Leave me a comment, as always!

Peace xoxo
