CHANNELING THE SUMMER VIBES
So if you follow this blog, you'll know that a little while ago I had the existential crisis of deciding what hair colour to have AND what new skills/hobbies to learn over the summer. Well my friends, the fates have decided and here are the results....

Summertime: cocktails, glossy hair and chilling out doing awesome things... but what things?!
So a couple of posts ago, I said I wanted to learn a new hobby such as skateboarding and guitar over this summer and would you guys be kind enough to send me some ideas. Well no less than the very next morning, I had my first idea! But it wasn't just your average idea...

One of my followers on here decided to send me a Ukulele from their eBay selling page, with the challenge to learn to play a song, record me playing it and post it up for all to see! So of course being the fool I am, I immediately said yes!!
I cannot play the Ukulele at all, so having had the little beast for a month, I'm happy to say that I'm learning all the chords pretty well... Stay tuned friends for more uke updates because I'm still trying to decide on a song! ;)

Moving swiftly on to the other dilemma I was facing (of course not a serious dilemma, but as a girl, I feel entitled to spaz about my hair occasionally!) about my hair colour! Did I stay a redhead or did I go blonde? Or did I go brunette again?? I was so confused about what I wanted to do with my barnet that I waited until I came back to the UK to sort it out.
In fact I decided to stay ginger, whacked on my favourite bottle of dye and tah-dah!!!!!!!! Turns out they've changed all the colours so my hair came out a luminous red, which I hated immediately and wished I could just turn back time! So being me, I reversed the process using Colour B4 (that trusty old bean) and plonked on a blonde...
It came out more strawberry blonde than cool beach blonde. Hmm, again not my most favourite. So that's when I decided to give in and get it done properly by my long term hairdresser, Jane. She's been doing my hair for over a decade now and I trust her with my hair completely. I told her exactly what I wanted and left it all up to her to dye, trim, blow dry and style and the end result was just incredible.
So a few days later, washed and beach ready, this is what my hair now looks like:
