TRAVEL: THE WANDERLUST TAG

I've seen this tag post floating about on the web a lot over the last few weeks and I was tagged anonymously over on Tumblr to finally do the Wanderlust Tag, because I love to travel and have dream of travelling the world some day! So here goes.....

Image from Tumblr

1. Your most treasured passport stamp?

Turkey!! I went there twice but the best holiday was with my cousin, Lauren! We laughed so much I thought I'd come back with a six pack!

2. Can you recite your passport # from memory if asked?

I used to be able to do it but now I've just relied on computer memory settings! I think it starts with a

6?!

3. Preferred method of travel; planes, trains or automobiles?

I actually adore flying and have a bit of a pre-flight tradition of Starbucks and Sushi! I don't mind trains and cars either but nothing beats that wave of heat that hits you when you step off that plane...

4. Top 3 travel items?

For the journey; mp3, Kindle and Headphones.

For the holiday (beach); suncream (works great as a conditioner for your hair too!), book/kindle and

an alarm-- gotta have an even tan!
.

For the holiday ( City); Makeup, camera and a phrase book.

5. Hostel or hotel?

I don't mind either, but I prefer the extra comforts of a hotel for sure!

6. Are you a repeat visitor or do you explore new places?

I'm mostly an explore as I love myself an adventure. But I will go back to a couple of places if I want a

cheap holiday or want to do the things I never got around to the first time!

7. Do you read up on your destination (culture, history, safety) or do you wing it?

Yes, just to get by and to know any customs I may need to know about.

8. Favourite travel website?

I haven't found a site that beats TripAdvisor. It gives such good, honest reviews! But bear in mind

that there will always be people who complain that the coffee is hot and the ice cream is cold!

9. Where would you recommend a friend to visit? Name city & why.

I would say go to Olu Deniz in Turkey. It's gorgeous and if you go to the Buzz Bar, you can have a

rooftop meal while the sun sets and watch the paragliders landing down on the beach! You should

also visit the ButterflyValley and Pamukkale.

10. You're leaving tomorrow, money is no option, where are you going?

Oh wow! I'd do all of the countries on my bucket list, including Guatemala, India, Taiwan, Los Angeles and Australia but honestly, I think I would take me and my family away for a two week beach holiday in Greece! Bed and Breakfast-- not all inclusive (I don't think you experience the culture as much that way!).

I'm tagging my cousin Lauren, who loves travelling just as much as me! So go and have a wander around the Rose Garden where she likes to blog!

I also tag all of you lovelies here at The Cove to dream big and complete the tag! Keep the peace, share the love and follow the wanderlust!
